5.4. How to reset the system to default settings
1. Unplug USB cable (if any)
2. Open EPIR2 enclosure.
3. Press and hold the RESET button.
4. Wait for the LED to ash quickly several times.
5. Power down EPIR2.
6. Power up EPIR2.
7. Conguration has been restored to default.
5.5. How to upgrade the rmware locally via USB connection
1. Disconnect the power supply and backup battery..
2. Open EPIR2 enclosure.
3. Connect EPIR2 to the PC via USB cable.
4. Press and hold the RESET button.
5. Connect the power supply.
6. Release the RESET button after the new window pops-up containing a .bin le. Otherwise open
My Computer and look for Boot Disk drive.
7. Delete the .bin le located in this drive.
8. Copy and paste in the very same window.
9. After the copying is done, power down EPIR2.
10. Unplug USB cable.
11. Power up EPIR2.
12. Firmware upgraded.
5.6. How to upgrade the rmware remotely via GPRS connection
FOTA
EPIR2 alarm system supports FOTA (rmware-over-the-air)
feature. This allows to upgrade the rmware remotely via
GPRS connection. Once the upgrade process is initiated, the
system connects to the specied FTP server address where
the rmware le is hosted and begins downloading and re-
ashing the rmware. The rmware le must be located in a
folder titled Firmware. In order to initiate the upgrade pro-
cess, please, send the following SMS message.

XXXX_FOTA:ftp-server-IP,port,
rmware-le-name.bin,user-name,password
Value: ftp-server-IP - IP address of FTP server
where EPIR2 rmware le is stored; port - port
number of FTP server (usually - 21); rmware--
le-name.bin - name of the rmware le, allowed
max. length - up to 31 character; user-name - user
name of FTP server login, allowed max. length - up
to 31 character; password - password of FTP server
login, allowed max. length - up to 31 character.
Example: 1111_FOTA:84.15.143.111,21,EPIR2fw.
